Form follows function. The folded ceiling plane merges with the entry cabinet and the main wall, floating within the space — visually lightening the mass, and becoming the backdrop that wraps the dining room. Every household necessity is stored within the wall cabinetry, so coming home means open space and release. The living and dining rooms combine into one continuous zone, maximizing the area for movement. A hidden door in the living room marks the boundary between public and private. Friends and children sit on the floor here, playing and moving freely across the combined space. Grey-black is the dominant tone, paired with touches of wood grain and metal, giving the whole space a steady rhythm — while its emptiness lets the home become a container for the mind to settle. —StudioX4
